Special Counsel John Durham’s motion to compel has finally been granted.
The committee for Hilary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign was attempting to block Durham from acquiring several “privileged” documents connected to law firm Perkins Cole and its work with the campaign, the Democratic National Committee and opposition research company Fusion GPS.
The DNC and the Clinton campaign used Perkins Cole to fund the notorious anti-Trump dossier. Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer, authored the unverified dossier. Fusion GPS commissioned it.
Hillary for America (HFA), Clinton’s main campaign committee, made a filing on April 28 which argued that several privileged documents should be held back on the grounds of attorney-client privilege.
However, the Clinton campaign’s efforts to keep these documents under wraps appear to have failed. The lawyer Techno Fog tweeted about this on May 4:
UPDATE – Durham won the first part of the fight.
Durham’s motion to compel has been granted.
“Privileged” Fusion GPS e-mails/docs will be provided to the court for in camera review.
The court will then determine whether the “privileges” apply. (Durham will get the docs.)
This is one step closer to giving the nation closure after the Russia collusion hoax the corporate media and the Deep State subjected it to.
Hopefully, more heads roll during this investigation and bad faith actors get punished.
