Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Rolls Out Gun Control Package

As crazy as politics in the US can be, patriotic Americans can rest easy knowing that they don’t live in a country like Canada. At least for now… 

On May 30, 2022, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the Canadian government would implement a national freeze on handgun sales. 

“It will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada,” Trudeau said at a press conference. “In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns.”

This move was made in response to the Uvalde, Texas massacre. 

“We need only look south of the border to know that if we do not take action, firmly and rapidly, it gets worse and worse and more difficult to counter,” Trudeau proclaimed. 

In addition, the Trudeau government wants to establish a nationwide “red flag” law that would empower judges to confiscate gun owners’ firearms if they are deemed to be “a danger to themselves or others.” 

That’s Canada for you. This country is not known for its freedom and it’s one of the bastions of deranged leftism. Whatever takes place in Canada is usually a sign of political trends that will be spread across the West. So, Americans have every interest to see what’s going on in Canada. 

While we should be thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in the present, these same freedoms can be taken away if we don’t remain vigilant. We can laugh all we want at Canada, but when tyranny takes root up north, you can bet a pretty penny that it will make its way down to the states.

That’s why patriotic Americans must always stay on guard and keep tabs on what our government is doing. In moments like the Uvalde shooting, politicians try to exploit a generalized crisis to push their demagogic agendas. To stop them, we must monitor them like hawks and make sure they don’t get the upper hand on us.
