If you’re a member of the radical Left, you can commit crimes and likely get away with them these days.
Back in November of 2018, two Antifa members — Thomas Massey and Tom Keenan — attacked two US Marine Corps reservists Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres.
According to Katie Daviscourt of The Post Millenial, the two Marine Corps members were touring historical landmarks in Philadelphia on November 17, 2018.
The Marines were close to the “We the People’ rally in Old City and were subsequently attacked by the Antifa members.
In their testimony, the Marines claimed that they had no prior knowledge of the rally and were visiting town with their helicopter unit to participate at a Marine Ball later in the evening.
Per the court documents, suspect Tom Keenan went up to the two Marines with 10 other Antifa members. Then they asked the Marines if they were “Proud”, making a reference to the Proud Boys.
Torres did not understand the question, and responded, “We are Marines.” The Marines were subsequently attacked by Antifa and were called “Nazis” and “white supremacists.” The antifa assailants kicked, maced, and punched the Marines.
According to Godinez’s testimony, as he was attacked, he screamed “I’m not a white supremacist, I’m Mexican.”
Hilariously, the Antifa members started yelling racial slurs and called Godinez and Torres “spic” and “wetback”, per court documents.
Daviscourt reported that “Godinez was maced at least six times, kicked in the ribs, and hit in the head by members of the group who chanted “f*ck him up” during the brutal beating.”
Torres claimed that Massey punched him “full force” on multiple occasions as he was trying to block the punches with his arms.
Back in December 2020, a Philadelphia judge ruled that Keenan and Massey would be held for aggravated assault and conspiracy charges, which were both felonies, and various misdemeanors.
However, we live in Clown World USA, where the rule of law has become an afterthought and the radical Left is allowed to commit criminal acts with virtual impunity. Thomas Massey, Tom Keenan, and a third suspect Joseph Alcoff pleaded guilty to minor misdemeanors that don’t come with any jail time.
Initially, all three suspects were charged with multiple felonies.
Prosecutors sentenced Tom Keenan to two years of probation after he pleaded guilty to simple assault and possession of an instrument to commit a crime. Thomas Massey pleaded guilty to simple assault and received a one year probation sentence. James Alcoff received no punishment after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct, per court documents.
This is how justice is administered in Philadelphia, a city with George Soros-funded District Attorney Larry Krasner giving real criminals slaps on the wrists and letting them back on the streets.
This recent case demonstrates the need for people to get more involved in their local politics. Having the right district attorney could make the difference between having an orderly city or having your city turn into a real life Gotham.
If people continue to ignore local politics, America’s once respected cities will soon turn into total dumpster fires.
