Comedian Joe Lycett was apparently subjected to a police investigation for simply telling an offensive joke.
In an announcement he made on June 21, 2022, Lycett said that an individual reported him for making the offensive joke.
Police reached out to Lycett for the purpose of an investigation. Lycett then had to explain himself in a statement detailing the context of a joke about a “giant monkey dick” that he made in an Instagram post.
Law enforcement authorities recently announced that the investigation is closed.
“So someone came to my tour show a few weeks back and was offended by one of the jokes. And their perfectly understandable response to this was … to call the fucking police,” Lycett posted on Instagram.
“To be fair to them the fuzz were very nice about it all but felt they had a duty to investigate,” the comedian added. “This involved me writing a statement explaining the context of the joke for them; I particularly enjoyed putting the words ‘giant donkey dick’ into a message to a police detective.”
Lycett said that the joke will still form an integral part of his comedy show which is set to continue “until September, unless I am jailed.”
“Charmed, and hopefully amused, the rozzers have since closed the matter. You’ll be pleased to know that the joke – which I consider to be one of the best I’ve ever written — remains firmly and proudly in the show,” Lycett stated.
We’re at a point in Western history when saying the wrong jokes could have you investigated by the police. That’s how far down the pit of civilizational decline we’ve fallen.
Comedy allows us to cope with the Clown World state we live in. When we are deprived of this outlet, best believe bad things will follow.
The politically correct state that’s being imposed on us must be contained, and ultimately extinguished, lest we want to be fully deprived of our right to free speech and other sacred liberties.
