Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has set a new standard for elected officials to follow as he has kept Florida as one of the freest states during the Wuhan virus lockdowns.
In addition, he has protected school children from mass indoctrination, taken on woke companies like Disney, has confronted Open Borders Inc by strengthening E-Verify, and has gotten into scuffles with sports teams that push the woke agenda.
Such a track record would make most Republican leaders green with envy.
However, DeSantis’ diligent efforts have been met with some degree of resistance which is to be expected.
For example, Rick Wilson, a deranged Never Trumper, has been a major critic of DeSantis’ stewardship of Florida since he was elected in 2018. Wilson is a consummate America First hater, who never misses an opportunity to attack former President Donald Trump, his supporters, and politicians who walk in Trump’s footsteps such as DeSantis.
In a tweet that he posted on July 5, Wilson claims to have a friend who believes that Florida under DeSantis’ leadership is the second coming of Nazi Germany.
Wilson tweeted, “A friend sends: ‘Florida is like Germany in 1933, only humid.’”
There’s no need to explain why such an assertion is ridiculous. In the Clown World state that we live in, any individual who deviates from the liberal/leftist norm is automatically labeled a “fascist” or a “Nazi.”
That’s how degraded our discourse has become. The fact that DeSantis is receiving these labels just shows that he’s doing something right.
