After the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago on August 8, 2022, leftist Hollywood celebrities were gloating about the FBI’s heavy-handed actions.
The FBI agents raided the former president’s home in Palm Beach, Florida allegedly to acquire classified documents that Trump allegedly possessed after exiting the presidency.
Some of the celebrities who cheered on the FBI included Two Half and a Half Men star Jon Cryer and leftist filmmaker Michael Moore.
After the FBI raid, Cryer tweeted, “To all the Trumpers screaming “Investigate Hunter!!”

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar- A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump declared in a statement he posted on the Truth Social social media platform. “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.”
The fact that celebrities are cheering on this jackbooted invasion of former president Trump’s privacy is not shocking. These people want to see Trump down and out no matter the costs. Even if it means completely destroying the rule of law.
We’re at a point in American history when political disputes are existential in nature and will see one side (The Left) use brute force to impose their will on the other. The Right, specifically Republicans, must recognize that we’re living in an increasingly savage political environment where decency has gone out the window.
For the sake of preserving our republic, Republicans must stand up for the rule of law and keep the Left in check. And that may require prudential uses of state force.
The Rubicon has finally been crossed and the Right must adapt to these circumstances.
