It’s a mistake to believe that it’s only Democrats who promote gun control.
Civilian disarmament is a bipartisan consensus in the DC Swamp.
On June 12, 2022, a bipartisan coalition of senators announced a gun control deal to address the allegedly gun violence “epidemic” taking place in the United States.
The proposal in question features increased funding for school safety resources, stronger background checks for gun buyers below the age of 21, incentives for states to establish their own red flag laws, penalties for individuals who commit straw purchases of firearms, and heightened safeguards for domestic violence victims.
This bipartisan group is comprised of 20 senators, which included 10 Republican elected officials. Due to the support from 10 Republicans, this new gun control package likely has a filibuster proof majority.
The 10 Republicans include the following:
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas)
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.)
Rob Portman (R-Ohio)
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.)
Richard Burr (R-N.C.)
Mitt Romney (R-Utah)
Bill Cassidy (R-La.)
Susan Collins (R-Maine)
Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)
Pat Toomey (R-Pa.)
These are the turncoats who are willing to consort with Gun Control Inc. and sell out their pro-gun constituents.
There comes a point where people need to see through the partisan bickering and understand that politicians in both parties are generally not committed to preserving our freedoms.
When we fall for the daily dose of outrage politics being shoved in our face, we fail to see how the political class has a monolithic desire to destroy our freedoms.
Americans need to wake up and realize that both parties in DC are hostile towards individual liberties. This requires citizens to remain vigilant and hold their representatives accountable when they act out of line, irrespective of their partisan affiliations.
It’s ultimately legislative behavior, not partisan labels, what counts most.
