Disney Employees are Throwing a Fit Over the Company’s Decision to Move 2,000 Workers

According to a report by David NG at Breitbart News, Disney employees have been taken aback by the company’s decision to move 2,000 workers to Florida from California.

These employees are now blaming CEO Bob Chapek for generating the “chaos.”

Several Disney employees said to The Wrap that the company’s decision to delay the move to 2026 has confirmed the main suspicion many at the company had about the CEO. Namely, “You cannot trust Bob Chapek.”

A number of Disney employees recently told The Wrap the company’s recent decision to delay the move to 2026 has reinforced what many already felt: “You cannot trust Bob Chapek.”

“It’s pure chaos,” one current employee allegedly declared. “It really is.”

Walt Disney Co. has plans of relocating roughly 2,000 California workers to its new campus in Lake Nona, Florida. Last week, Disney announced that it’s delaying the planned move by roughly four years. It claims that it’s doing so because of a new completion date and not due to the company’s current battle with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Several Disney employees don’t want to move to Florida due to the state’s Parental Rights in Education law. This newly signed law bans the teaching of sexuality and gender theory to K-3 school children.

Initially, Chapek was hesitant to get involved with Florida politics when the Parental Rights in Education bill was discussed. However, woke employee pressure caused Chapek to capitulate and embrace LGBTQ activism.

This caused the state of Florida to strip Disney World of its special tax and self-governing privileges in Orlando.

Within Disney, many employees still harbor resentment against CEO Bob Chapek for initially refusing to get involved in Florida politics. Chapek eventually caved in to woke employees’ demand that Disney take up radical LGBTQ activism.

For Disney’s woke employees, having the company go woke on sexual issues is not enough.

They now feel entitled to stay in California forever. Here’s the thing that these employees don’t get: Florida is a much more economically viable place for Disney to operate in owing to its laxer tax and regulatory regime. Business is a game of cold, hard numbers not feelings.

The wokesters in Disney should be thankful that the company bent the knee to them on the social front. Trying to browbeat the company for a routine business decision is simply hubris at this point.

Humility has never been a strong suit for the woke Left. We can fully expect the wokesters to try to hamstring this move by Disney in the next few months.

What do you think?
