Did prominent Department of Justice (DOJ) officials cover up the FBI’s efforts to spy on former President Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign?
According to a piece by Jeff Carlson and Hans Mahncke at Epoch Times, new notes were recently released highlighting the level of collusion between Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials in trying to cover up espionage efforts directed at former President Trump.
On May 8 2022, the notes were released by the legal counsel of former Hilary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann in an attempt to exonerate him of charges of lying to the FBI.
The FBI and DOJ officials apparently met two days following a tweet that Trump published on March 4, 2017. In this tweet, Trump accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower.
This tweet freaked out the FBI officials, who were still not sure how much Trump knew about their plots to connect him with Russia collusion allegations. The key findings in these notes uncovered how hard the FBI tried to cover its tracks.
The Russia collusion drama is well past us but it should serve as a firm reminder of how corrupt the DC bureaucracy is. The entire Trump presidency was effectively derailed by these constant probes that the FBI and other Deep State actors launched.
This episode should serve as a wake-up call to Americans of all political stripes of how dangerous unaccountable bureaucracies are. They ultimately undermine democratic principles and carry out frequent assaults against the will of the voters.
If Trump is to run again and pull off a win, hopefully he grows more aware of the FBI’s mischievous behavior. These institutions are dangerous and possess an agenda that runs counter to the nation’s founding principles.
Voters can no longer blindly trust the FBI and other federal law enforcement bodies based on their actions during the Trump presidency. If these institutions aren’t held accountable for their actions, they will create a de facto parallel government that undermines legitimately elected presidents and subverts America’s foundational liberties.
