The Biden Regime Admits that Gas Prices Will Stay North of 4 Gallons

America is experiencing an energy crisis that no one can explain away now.

Even the Biden regime is beginning to concede that high gas prices are here to stay.

On June 2, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm went before the press and revealed that American drivers will have to pay at least four dollars per gallon for the foreseeable future.

“The price of gas is likely to remain above $4 per gallon,”Granholm stated, using data from the Department of Energy.

At this juncture, one must realize that high gas prices aren’t some random development. They’re the product of misguided public policies such as closing pipelines and preventing further oil & gas exploration through massive government regulations.

Such moves have real-life consequences. It’s easy to talk about alternative energy sources from the perch of an Ivory Tower. But it’s another to live in the real world, where basic economics and science shows that non-renewable energy sources tend to be the most reliable and economical energy sources to keep commerce going.

All the policy tinkering that the green crowd wants to subject America to will just result in an impoverished country, as the working class’s energy costs go through the roof.

Economic realities do not care about pundits’ wishful thinking and fantastical social engineering schemes. If America wants to break out of its current economic malaise, it needs to go back to basics and embrace free-market energy reforms in order to keep energy costs down and make sure that America’s economy is firing on all cylinders.
